
Dr. Mahsa Mirdamadi completed medical school at Azad University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran, graduating with distinction and developing a strong interest in respiratory and internal medicine. She went on to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at Qazvin University of Medical Sciences, where she was recognized for her excellence in patient care and clinical expertise. Dr. Mirdamadi pursued advanced training in respiratory medicine, completing a fellowship at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, where she gained specialized expertise in managing complex respiratory conditions, including lung cancer. Following her fellowship, she assumed the role of Assistant Professor at Rajaei Cardiovascular, Medical, and Research Center (RACH), one of Tehran’s largest tertiary teaching hospitals. During her tenure, she established a new rehabilitation and diagnostic ward for cardiopulmonary exercise testing and significantly contributed to the development and expansion of the hospital’s sleep department, serving as its head for two years. Dr. Mirdamadi’s commitment to professional growth led her to successfully pass the HERMES exam—the highest level certification offered by the European Respiratory Society—in 2020. She was also recognized as a qualified pulmonologist in the United Arab Emirates after passing the required examinations. In 2023, Dr. Mirdamadi joined the team at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in Australia, the largest tertiary care centre in the Southern Hemisphere. There, she worked as an interventional bronchoscopy fellow and made significant contributions to lung cancer care and management. Later, she transitioned to Werribee Mercy Hospital in Melbourne, further broadening her expertise in both respiratory and general medicine. Dr. Mirdamadi’s credentials have been recognized by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), where she is accredited as a specialist in both respiratory and internal medicine, with full authorization to practice in Australia. Dr. Mirdamadi is deeply passionate about advancing care for patients with respiratory illnesses and is particularly interested in the upcoming National Lung Cancer Screening Program. This initiative aligns closely with her commitment to early detection and improving patient outcomes. Outside of medicine, Dr. Mirdamadi enjoys spending quality time with her family, travelling, and participating in community service, demonstrating her dedication to a balanced and fulfilling life.
